Mich. -- The Concours d'Elegance of America is at the
Inn at St. John's for the third year in a row. This event will
be held on Sunday, July 28, 2013. It is one of the most prestigious
showings of "by invitation only" classic, rare and
magnificent vehicles in the world.
The Inn at St. John's
offers 200 acres of landscaped countryside and the most beautiful
grounds for this showcase of vehicles. These vehicles compete
for honors during this show. It offers a once in a lifetime
opportunity to see so many valuable and expensive automobiles
at one place and at one time. The total field is valued at well
over 10 million dollars.
During this event,
the Michigan Philharmonic will be performing classic tunes,
which are appropriately aligned with classic automobiles.
What will be new
this year? There will be dealer Super Cars, eleven cars from
various dealers. Also the 50th Anniversary of the 1963 model
Corvettes and some high profile race cars.
Brian Joseph, the
Committee Chairman of Selection, has chosen 275 of the most
prestigious vehicles for this event. "We locate cars that
are worthy of this event," says Joseph. The Concours d'Elegance
of America is dedicated to the "Genius of the Automobile."
It is about their innovations, designs and technology that influenced
Joseph also ran down
the list in a nutshell the different classes of cars that will
be shown. From the London class, which is the beginning of the
automobile - before 1905, to the Gaslight class from 1908-1914,
the Jazz Age from 1915-1927, then moving on to the American
Popular from 1928-1942, the American Classics which are more
expensive than the Popular class. Next is the Detroit Iron and
Indianapolis Iron, Pre-war European, American Post War, Muscle
cars-Dealer Super Cars, Post war Sports, Post War European,
Vintage Nascar, Electric cars from past until now, Jet Age convertibles
and some exotic cars that ran in the world famous "Great
Race." Joseph adds, "We will also have a 1939 Bugatti

Car Auction will also be held at The Inn at St. John's. Free
admission is being offered to the preview event on Friday from
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, admission to the auction on Saturday
(begins at 11 a.m.) will only be open to registered bidders
and media. Bidder registration costs $200, which includes an
official catalog, admission for two to the preview, the Cars
and Cocktails event on Friday (from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and the
