-- Me and my husband had a wonderful experience on the
Detroit Princess Cruise. Built in 1992 and operating as a casino
on the Mississippi River, it made its journey through the Gulf
of Mexico, around Key West, up the Atlantic coast into the St.
Lawrence Seaway and down to its new home in downtown Detroit.
Docked at the waterfront behind Cobo Arena, this cruise offers
various cruise options to suit your taste.

on the Sunday afternoon Motown dinner cruise. Everyone started
boarding at 2:15 p.m. There are four decks total with the second
deck being the dinner buffet. This deck seats 450 guests. There
was a cash bar and a musical revue of Motown hits performed by
out every deck. The third deck had chairs and tables everywhere
for viewing the beautiful Detroit and Windsor skylines. The fourth
deck was the Captain's deck. You can see his instrumentation and
captain's wheel as he guided us up the Detroit River past Belle
Isle and back.
buffet was fabulous. The meal started with a salad, potato salad,
noodle salad, cole slaw and rolls. As you worked your way down
the buffet line, there was chicken piccata, crab-stuffed salmon,
cheese tortellini, wild rice, fresh vegetables, vegetarian lasagna,
garlic herbed mashed potatoes and a chef carving prime rib of
beef. Coffee, iced tea and water was also provided. Dessert consisted
of brownies and cookies. Everything tasted wonderful.
was fantastic. The Prolifics sounded just like the real Motown
artists and their lime-green suits matched accordingly. There
is a huge dance floor with beautiful chandeliers overhead.
the best time and would do it again in a heartbeat. I would recommend
this cruise highly. The boat is heated and air conditioned for
year round operation.
Princess is also available for any occasion such as family reunions,
weddings, birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, retirement parties,
proms and even Christmas parties. They can accommodate up to 1500
people. I am looking forward to my next cruise.
