Jessica Harp, Bomshel to perform at 1st Annual Flint Country Music Festival
Jessica Harp and Bomshel are scheduled to perform April 24.
FLINT, Mich. -- WFBE (95.1 FM) is hosting the 1st Annual Flint Country Music Festival at the Perani Arena on Friday, April 24. It is a fundraiser for the Old News Boys of Flint. Performers include Jessica Harp, Bomshel, Caitlin & Will, The Williams Riley Band, Love & Theft and Holly Williams. Tickets are $9 for B.I.P. seating and $6 for regular admission and are available at the B95 studios. Ages three and under are admitted free.
Attendees will be able to meet the artists, participate in question and answer sessions and enjoy the performances. Parking is free, according to April Rose, a disc jockey at the station's morning show.
Jessica Harp is best known as one part of the former country duo The Wreckers, alongside Michelle Branch. Harp's solo debut single is "Boy Like Me", which made its debut in March 2009. She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and is now married to fiddle player Jason Mowery. Her solo debut album, A Woman Needs, will be released in June 2009.
Bomshel is a country music duo made up of Kristy Osmonson and Kelley Shepard. It was founded by Buffy "Buf" Lawson, but she left the group in 2007. Shepard is a native of Detroit. The duo is best known for the song "Bomshel Stomp". Its latest single is "Fight Like a Girl", a song that's climbing the charts. Bomshel released a three-song package on iTunes on April 14.
Caitlin & Will is a country music duo made up of Caitlin Lynn and Will Snyder. They won season one of CMT's Can You Duet, which included a record deal with Columbia Nashville. Their first single is "Address in the Stars", a song that's climbing the charts. Caitlin & Will released a six-song digital EP on March 31.
The Williams Riley Band is a new country group from Larose, Louisiana and Greenville, South Carolina. It is made up of Steve Williams, Charlie "Riley" Hutto, Derek George, Dave Guidry, Joe Rogers and Nick Buda. Their new single is "I'm Still Me". The group's debut self-titled album is available digitally for $10 on it's myspace page. The band is signed to the Golden Music record label.
Love & Theft is a new country music group from Nashville. It is made up of Stephen Barker Liles, Brian Bandas and Eric Gunderson. They are signed to the CarolWood record label. Their first radio single is "Runaway". The group is currently working on it's debut album.
Holly Williams is a country music singer who is best known as the daughter of Hank Williams Jr. She signed with Universal South Records in 2003. Williams released the single "Sometimes" on her first album, The Ones We Never Knew. Then, she moved to Mercury Nashville Records in 2009. Williams's current single is "Keep the Change", a song that's climbing the charts. She will release a new album titled, Here with Me, on June 16.
