McDonald's now offering McCafe Real Fruit Smoothies

Strawberry
Banana and Wild Berry smoothies are now available at McDonald's
DETROIT
-- Today, McDonald’s restaurants across southeast Michigan
will unveil the newest beverage addition to hit the menu: McCafé
Real Fruit Smoothies. Available in Strawberry Banana and Wild Berry,
Smoothies will be served in 12-, 16- and 22-ounce sizes.
“We
are excited to share this new taste sensation that our customers
are already raving about,” said Willie Blue, marketing manager
for McDonald’s Michigan Region. “This is another example
of our wide array of quality beverage options.”
Real Fruit
Smoothies are made from a blend of real fruit—strawberries,
bananas, blueberries and blackberries—and low-fat yogurt.
Real Fruit Smoothies are also available without yogurt.
“McDonald’s
is a beverage destination, and Real Fruit Smoothies are an affordable
luxury that allow our customers to indulge as often as they want,”
said Elaine Perry, McDonald’s owner/operator.
Southeast
Michigan McDonald’s is among the first markets to offer Real
Fruit Smoothies; the product will be available nationwide later
this year.

Note: These new smoothies taste amazing. I particularly enjoy
the Wild Berry smoothie. For only $2.29, you can enjoy a small-size
smoothie that is probably around $4 at a coffeeshop. Great value!
