The Chevy Corvette Z06

The newest Corvette Z06 by general motors is the fastest corvette ever to be in production.  It is a giant improvement from last years Z06 which was on the best corvettes ever as well.  General Motors seems to be really committed to their sports division, with this new corvette and the introduction of their new SS models of their car lineup.

The Z06 has a 7.0 liter engine a boost from 6 liter in the normal c6.  The Z06 is one of the most exciting cars at the auto show, with its performance 0-60 under 4 seconds and its quarter mile time a little under 12 seconds.  With this great improvement in performance what about the price you might ask.  The price is still going to be much lower then the dodge viper one of the Corvettes greatest competitors. This is a car that demands respect, it is good to see such dedication from Chevrolet to quality, when they are known as a very bland car company.

The design is not very different then that of a normal c6 corvette, the most noticeable feature would be the cold air intake located on the hood.  I personally heard the Z06 turned on, and even while it was idling you could hear the power. With all this performance one would expect terrible gas mileage but no gas guzzler tax is needed here.  Corvette has always been known for a great value and great performance and this is no exception, this should be one of the best cars of the next year.
