DETROIT
-- Toyota
revealed the new Tundra CrewMax truck LIVE at the 2007 North
American International Auto Show. I was really impressed by
the new release from the automaker.
The
Tundra CrewMax will be available for consumers to purchase
later this year. In 2009, it will come with an ethanol-ready
engine. The truck was created to compete with trucks such
as the Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado and Dodge Ram.
"Tundra
brings proven Toyota engineering, quality and durability to
an intensely competitive full-size pickup market,"
said Jim Lentz, Executive Vice President for Toyota Motor
Sales.
The
2007 model is a nice truck from the inside and from the outside.
It comes in different colors such as grey, red, black and
silver. It features as 5.7 liter V-8 engine. It also comes
with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It can hold and tow
approximately up to 10,800 lbs. of cargo.
Indeed,
the Tundra CrewMax vehicles are massive without a doubt. According
to the press kit, "The frame is fully boxed in the engine
bay, where weight supporting strength is essential."
There
are many custom models of the Tundra CrewMax that you can
purchase. It has three types of wheelbases, three bed lengths,
three types of engines and three different trim levels.
In
conclusion, this is an excellent truck from Toyota.
