Dodge unveils 2010 Circuit electric vehicle in Detroit

Dodge has released this tangerine-colored Circuit electric vehicle.

DETROIT -- When looking at the Dodge Circuit at the 2009 North American International Auto Show, you think of a mini-Viper. However, think again, for this vehicle is out of pure electricity with a 268 horsepower, a small engine generator, and an prototype. The Circuit has a range of 200 miles: going from zero to sixty in less than five seconds; 13 in just a quarter of a mile, with a top speed of 120 miles.

The envi concept is on the "front-lines of green technology" -- with a controller to help the energy flow as one of its main components. It is easily rechargeable, especially during overnight. The Dodge Circuit is not only simple, but it also has a 90 percent efficiency to the wheels. With 200-kilowatt of lithium ions, the Dodge Circuit is a perfect marriage of guts and glory.

The Dodge Circuit will use zero gasoline and will produce zero tailpipe emissions. It will create 268 hp and 480 lb. ft. of torque.

The Dodge Circuit comes with a 200-kilowatt electric motor, a lithium-ion battery system to power the motor and a controller that manages energy flow.
