The Buick Lucerne replaced the Park Avenue and the LeSabre in 2006 and initial sales have been strong, with the car claiming 24% of the full-size sedan market in the United States.

The Lucerne comes with one of three engine types: a 3.8-liter V6, a 3.9-liter V6 or a 4.6-liter V8.
