Ford shows off the Fiesta supermini car at 2010 NAIAS PHOTO BY GLORIA RZUCIDLO / ©AMERICAJR.com The Ford Fiesta is coming to the United States later this year.
DETROIT -- I spoke to Sam Delagarza, Fiesta Brand Manager and he says that the Ford Fiesta has 15 features, which includes 40 mpg highway, three options of leather heated seats, ambient lighting, a moon roof, sync technology and push-button start, which uses no key, just to name a few. It comes with a 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder engine. "There are no plans for this car to be a hybrid or electric," said Delagarza. There are seven airbags, which is more airbags than any car in its class. The target price starts at $13,995 for the sedan model. When asked how this vehicle compares to others in its segment, Delagarza responded: "It blows them away!" The vehicle will be manufactured in Mexico and has won numerous awards in Europe and worldwide.
