DETROIT -- David Zuchowski, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor America, was "so honored to introduce our next game-changing product today at the North American International Auto Show. He's talking about the all-new 2015 Genesis luxury sedan.

It will be the first to feature wireless technology from Verizon and will be able to take commands from Google Glass. Genesis owners can start their vehicle, lock and unlock the doors and find a nearby gas station, as well as other functions using the app on their eyeglasses. The all-new 2015 Hyundai Genesis will be arriving in U.S. showrooms this May.

"We bring quality design and safety to new heights. Hyundai ranks in the top five of non-luxury manufacturers. Today marks the next great chapter of our all new Genesis," the new president and CEO explained. "With its dramatic exterior design and expert handling, the 2015 Genesis is the best ever.

Other features on the new model include sensor surround safety with cameras and radar sensors, genuine wood in three finishes and a 900-watt, Logic 7 surround sound system with 17 speakers.

Christopher Chapman, Chief Designer of the Genesis, says Hyundai's groundbreaking design language has evolved.

"The shape emphasizes its strength. It is confident and elegant," he said. "The lines of the Genesis is simpler and sharper. It has a longer wheelbase for a look that's sheer and sleek. It has an expressive design without having to shout, but tells the world loud and clear where we are at. The engineering beneath the sheet metal is exceptional. Our goal is to create the most on an all new platform and body structure that optimizes stiffness and crash performance, which is designed to meet the strictest safety standards."

The 2015 Genesis offers world class design. It is the latest testament to making premium products that will arrive this Spring.

"The auto industry is back with a vengeance," Zuchowski added. "The Hyundai brand is better positioned to take full advantage of that opportunity. Hyundai had the fourth consecutive record volume year in its 29th year history in the United States. We are open to change and embrace progress."

Special thanks to Hyundai for sponsoring the wonderful party at Slow's Bar-B-Q. It was a great way to cap the first press day of the NAIAS.
