Segway Tours Come To Downtown Detroit Every Saturday

DETROIT — Inside Detroit and Segway Tours of Southeastern Michigan are bringing Segway Tours to Detroit! Starting this Saturday people will be able to sign up for a 2-hour Segway Tour that will show them Downtown’s highlights while experiencing the excitement of a Segway.

“Every major city across the world offers Segway tours and people love them. Now people can enjoy Detroit and Segways at the same time,” said Inside Detroit’s Jeanette Pierce. “Plus, we can cover much more ground on a Segway because it can go up to 12.5 mph, so that means we can showcase even more of our wonderful city.”

Segway Tour of Downtown Detroit

This Segway Tour will show you what makes Detroit shine, including major landmarks, new developments and historical gems. You’ll zoom along the beautiful Riverwalk, get up close and personal with the Stadiums and Fox Theater and even stop and go into the gorgeous Guardian Building, all while enjoying the amazing speed and mobility of the revolutionary Segway!

When: Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Where: Tour starts at the Inside Detroit Welcome Center located at 1253 Woodward

Cost: $55.00 per person (Must be 16 years old or older)

Downtown Highlights Walking Tour

See all the major landmarks, the new development and some of the great historical gems too, in this fun-filled walking tour.

When: Mondays 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Saturdays 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Cost: $10/person

Downtown Entertainment Walking Tour

Downtown Detroit has over 120 bars and restaurants, more than 13,000 theater seats, 3 sports stadiums and many public parks. We’ll show you where to have a good time no matter what you like to do!

When: Saturdays 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Cost: $10/person
