DETROIT -- Not to be confused with the lovely Debbie Harry, Blondie's will be the place where the local band Warehouse will perform a concert on April 24 for the first time in 25 years.

"We all loved it; we're still friends. We've all improved our musical talents," said keyboard sax player Dave Kujat, whose wife Maria is the lead singer. For the last twenty years, the couple has been Sax Appeal Entertainment, for the name is equal: Dave provides the sax while Maria has the appeal as full-time musicians playing in wedding receptions and parties as well as running a successful DJ service.

The band "Warehouse" began in downtown Detroit. Dave went to school with bass player and vocalist Mike Dinu in Birmingham. Maria, Dave, and Mike, brought in two other friends, also musicians. Mike's father was the owner of "Browns Bun Baking Company", and they started practicing at the bakery's warehouse. With guitarists Jeff Kelly and John Hamilton and drummer John Conwell came the birth of Warehouse.

"We have gathered 4 of the original members, and are proud to welcome Mike Bayoff on drums," Dave said, as Warehouse performs classic rock and pop from supergroups The Rolling Stones, Journey, The Go-Gos, ZZ Top, REO Speedwagon, and more.

However, by the mid-1980s, Mike and Jeff had other careers going, such as Mike taking over his family business after the passing of his father "George", and Jeff working for fleet operations at Belle Tire. Meanwhile, Dave and Maria began Sax Appeal, who co-sponsored the reunion concert with Browns Buns Baking; there'll be a $10 cover charge per person for people 21 and over.

Still, when Warehouse gets back together, they may have gotten older, but the music remains the same, and if Blondie's is a success, there may be more concerts, clubs, and fairs in the near future.

"We believe we're going to have a pretty good turnout," Dave states. "We started where we left off, and it fell right into place."

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster by calling (800) 745-3000 or the Blondie's Box Office at 9313) 964-1000.
