The U-M Penny Stamps School of Art & Design welcomed Documentary Filmmaker Ken Burns to the Michigan Theater on Thursday, March 21 at 5:10 p.m.

Former New York Times Public Editor Daniel Okrent moderated the discussion.

Burns was born in Brooklyn, New York and later attended Ann Arbor's Pioneer High School.

He began by discussing a series of photos taken in Ann Arbor during his childhood.
