Detroit's Christmas tree and ice rink are ready for the winter season.

The Norway spruce tree was cut down near Cadillac, Mich.

These two branches were trimmed from the tree.

It is exactly 69 feet tall.

The tree was planted back in 1963 and it outgrown its space.
