$221 Million Renovation Continues at Cobo

Cobo Arena is being transformed into a 38,000 square-foot ballroom with meeting rooms underneath.

When complete, it will have a seating capacity of 2,375 for dining and 3,800 for general sessions.

The ballroom will overlook Hart Plaza and will have the capability to be divided into smaller unions.

It will include prefunction space overlooking the Detroit River and a new signature atrium space.

In addition, a new kitchen will be built to serve the ballroom and the new food court.
