Trisha Yearwood says that she has maybe two happy songs in her set. She enjoys singing ballads and said that "sad songs make me happy." After 20-30 minutes, she will throw in a happy song.

Trisha Yearwood plays the Grand Ole Opry quite frequently. When she is on the program with Porter Wagoner, he always tells her to "sing that song that brung ya." That song is "She's In Love With The Boy."

Trisha Yearwood says that encores are silly. She reports, "We just haven't found a better solution." If we just keep singing and then leave, people are disapponted. She closed out the evening with a rendering of "Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz.
