Aldi's
opened their second store in Waterford today at 11 a.m. on Oct.
15, 2009.

The
ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by the Township Supervisor
Carl Solden, Betty Fortino (clerk), and Margaret Birch (Township
Treasurer) along with Aldi corporate dignitaries.

Charities
who have benefitted from this event include: Make a Wish Foundation,
The Rainbow Connection, Plymouth Salvation Army, Bridgepoint, Michigan
Youth Soccer Association and Habitat for Humanity.

The
store is not open for shopping until Saturday. At the 'soft' opening
on Friday, there was taste testing. Each person was given an Aldi's
bag with samples on their way out. The grand opening will take place
this Saturday.
