Local
4 Meterologist Paul Gross tells the class about weather and how
he comes up with a forecast. His job is unique because he talks
about the future while the rest of the newscast is about the past
or present.

You're
looking at Studio A at WDIV-TV Local 4. This is where the newscasts
are done. Carmen Harlan and Devin Scillian sit behind the desk while
they anchor the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts.

Derricke
Dennis shows us the Neighborhood Crime Alert wheel. Each morning,
it is spun and one suspect is highlighted during the newscast. Viewers
are invited to call in with their tips to find the criminal.

This
is the Local 4 phone bank. It is used for Ruth to the Rescue, Charitable
causes and Health specials. Volunteers normally sit in this location
during the newscast and answer the phones.
