Michigan International
Speedway will host a special post-race concert featuring
the pop/rock band Smash Mouth following the CARFAX
250 NASCAR Busch Series event Saturday, Aug. 18.
The concert will be presented by the SPEED Channel.

Musician Jimmie Vaughan To Perform National Anthem
Stepping away from
the traditional singing of the national anthem,
contemporary blues musician Jimmie Vaughan will
perform a guitar rendition of the patriotic tune
during pre-race festivities for the 3M Performance
400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race on Sunday, Aug.
19 at Michigan International Speedway.

The Shop Rat Foundation,
Michigan Manufactures Association (MMA) and the
Jackson Area Association (JAMA) Manufacturing have
teamed up to raise money for the Shop Rat Education
Program with the "Manufacturers Day at the
Races."

Series driver Greg Biffle showed motorists of metro
Detroit that he knows his way around an automobile,
especially when 3M Car Care products are on hand.
Biffle used 3M Car Care products at a Super Car
Wash in Farmington Hills on Wednesday while promoting
the Aug. 19 3M Performance 400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup
Series race at Michigan International Speedway.

The tradition of
having half the NASCAR Busch Series field comprised
of full-time NASCAR NEXTEL Cup drivers at Michigan
International Speedway will continue in Saturday's
CARFAX 250.

Hamlin Wins CARFAX 250
Denny
Hamlin crunched his Rockwell Automation Chevrolet
during practice on Friday and then crushed the
field on Saturday to win the CARFAX 250 NASCAR
Busch Series race at Michigan International Speedway.
Hamlin celebrates his fourth career Busch Series
win.

has seven top-10 finishes this season with his first NEXTEL
Cup victory coming at Dover in June. The 27-year-old driver
