World Renowned Blue Angels to Perform Flyover at Auto Club 400

The world renowned pride of the Navy and Marine Corps, United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, will perform a flyover prior to the start of the Auto Club 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday, March 23 which is scheduled to begin at Noon PT. It is the only sporting event flyover on the Blue Angels 2014 schedule. With its storied history and precision flying, the mission of the Flight Demonstration Squadron is to showcase the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach.

Vons to provide Infield Service during Auto Club 400 NASCAR Weekend

Southern California supermarket Vons, will be on site during NASCAR’s Auto Club 400 Weekend to provide an array of grocery needs to infield guests. And if that news isn’t good enough, Vons will be on site during NASCAR Weekends for the next three years! Parent company Safeway, one of the largest supermarket companies in the U.S., will be the official grocery partner of Auto Club Speedway. Vons currently boasts 275 stores that serve millions of Southern Californians. The 5,000-square foot store will open its doors on Thursday, March 20 and will be open every day throughout race weekend.

NASCAR Hauler Parade to Roll Through the Inland Empire

Everyone loves a parade – especially a NASCAR Hauler parade. To help get the Auto Club 400 Weekend underway, March 21-23, the spectacle of a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Hauler Parade will make its way to Auto Club Speedway from Citizens Business Bank Arena (4000 E. Ontario Center Parkway, Ontario) through Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga and Fontana, beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 20. Stretching nearly an entire mile from the first hauler to the last, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Hauler Parade will make its way to Auto Club Speedway around 7 p.m.

Team Fastrax, America's Skydiving Team, to perform prior to Auto Club 400

America’s Skydiving Team, will perform its renowned patriotic aerial flag display above Auto Club Speedway on March 23, prior to the Auto Club 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Southern California’s premier motorsports facility. Made up of military veterans from the Rangers, Special Forces and Airborne units, Team Fastrax has totaled over 300,000 skydives including several NASCAR events as well as displays over Ground Zero in New York City, Independence Hall in Philadelphia and the Pentagon in Washington, DC.

The Great Gonzo adds Grand Marshal to an Already Impressive Resume

Already a daredevil in his own right, the Great Gonzo will spend Sunday, March 23 among his peers in NASCAR, just two days after his new movie, “Muppets Most Wanted,” hits the big screen. The poultry-loving daredevil and plumbing aficionado will give the command “Drivers, Start Your Engines” to NASCAR’s own field of 43 daredevils as Grand Marshal for the Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway. Matt is also well known for hosting “Coming Home,” a poignant reality docu-series on Lifetime which followed the surprise reunions of military members and their loved ones, as they returned home from active duty.

U.S. Olympian Bode Miller and Wife AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Star Morgan named Honorary Starters for Auto Club 400

Olympic Medalist skier Bode Miller and his wife, AVP pro beach volleyball player, Morgan, will serve as Honorary Starters for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday, March 23. As Honorary Starter, the Millers will wave the green flag to get the Auto Club 400 underway. The event will be televised at Noon (PT) on FOX. Miller, who took home a bronze medal in the Olympic Super-G competition recently in the Sochi Olympics in Russia is considered one of the greatest World Cup racers of all time with 33 victories – one of five men to win World Cup events in all five disciplines.

Larson Takes Checkered Flag at 300

Kyle Larson (No. 42 Cartwheel Chevrolet) and his growing fan base got a little bit bigger on Saturday as the California native and 21-year-old held off a late-race charge by Kevin Harvick (No. 5 Chevrolet) and Kyle Busch (No. 54, Monster Energy Toyota) to win his first NASCAR NNS race at the TREATMYCLOT.COM 300 at Auto Club Speedway. Larson, who is from the Sacramento suburb of Elk Grove in Northern California, led 17 of 150 laps around the two-mile track for the after finishing second five times in 37 Series starts.

Kyle Busch defends Auto Club 400 title with repeat victory

Kyle Busch’s dominance continued at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana as the defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Auto Club 400 champion took home the checkered flag once again. Busch (No. 18, Interstate Batteries Toyota) held off rookie Kyle Larson (No. 42, Target Chevrolet), Tony Stewart (No. 14, Rush Truck Centers/Mobil 1 Chevrolet) and his older brother Kurt Busch (No. 41, Haas Automation Chevrolet) in the wildly exciting finish in a race that featured a record 35 lead changes. A sold-out and enthusiastic crowd watched as Grand Marshal Gonzo of the Muppets started the race by directing drivers to start their engines.
