Renowned Blue Angels to Perform Flyover at Auto Club 400

Blue Angels will entertain audiences before the start
of the Auto Club 400 on March 23.
Calif. -- The world renowned pride of the Navy
and Marine Corps, United States Navy Flight Demonstration
Squadron, the Blue Angels, will perform a flyover prior
to the start of the Auto Club 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race
at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday, March 23 which is scheduled
to begin at Noon PT. It is the only sporting event flyover
on the Blue Angels 2014 schedule.

Blue Angels is the United States Navy's flight demonstration
squadron. The Blue Angels team was formed in 1946, making
it the second oldest formal flying aerobatic team (under
the same name) in the world. The Blue Angels' six demonstration
pilots fly the F/A-18 Hornet, typically in more than 70
shows at 34 locations throughout the United States each
year, where they still employ many of the same practices
and techniques used in their aerial displays in 1946.
