BROOKLYN,
MI. – Kevin
Harvick, driver of the No. 29 GM Goodwrench Chevrolet for Richard
Childress Racing, will appear in Michigan International Speedway’s
all-inclusive Victory Lane Club prior to the GFS Marketplace 400
on Sunday, August 20. He will perform a question and answer session
for fans that have purchased the fan hospitality package.
Harvick has started 12 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup races at MIS with his top
finish of second coming in August 2003. He has also started five
NASCAR Busch Series events at the two-mile oval, winning the 2003
race.
Victory Lane Club packages feature a turn four reserved grandstand
seat, a pre-race pit pass, a souvenir program, a race-related gift,
hospitality tent access, catered breakfast and lunch, entertainment
and a question and answer session with Harvick. Hospitality-only
packages can also be purchased for fans that already have their
seats.
As well as Harvick, NEXTEL Cup Series rookies J.J. Yeley and David
Stremme will also perform question and answer sessions in MIS hospitality.
Yeley, driver of the No. 18 Interstate Batteries Chevrolet, and
Stremme, driver of the No. 40 Lonestar Steakhouse/Coors Light Dodge,
have both put together strong rookie seasons in 2006. Stremme won
the ARCA RE/MAX Series Hantz Group 200 at MIS in June while driving
for Rusty Wallace.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have all three drivers
appear in our Fan Hospitality Club,” said MIS Director of
Marketing Keith Karbo. “This is a great opportunity for fans
that haven’t purchased tickets to get them through the hospitality
package. In addition, fans that have already purchased tickets can
enjoy an all-inclusive race day at MIS and see some of NASCAR’s
greatest stars like Kevin Harvick, J.J. Yeley and David Stremme.”
In addition to the NEXTEL Cup drivers, Busch Series driver Steve
Wallace will speak at the Victory Lane Club on Saturday prior to
entering his No. 64 RWI Dodge in the NASCAR Busch Series Carfax
250. Wallace won the ARCA RE/MAX Series Hantz Group 200 at MIS last
August and in doing so, became the youngest winner in speedway history.
