Post-Race Quotes from the Chevrolet Indy Dual Race 2 Press Conference ByGloria Rzucidlo

Helio Castroneves won the second IndyCar Race in Detroit Sunday evening. This marks the third victory at Belle Isle for the driver of the No. 3 Hitachi Team Penske Chevrolet. "During race one, we had the car, we had the strategy but we didn't do it. Today, we pushed as hard as we could. It was perfect, winning is what we wanted to do." How important was having your team on the fence with you? "It was a very touched moment. It was great to see them there and it was great to win." In the second and third pit stops, was it just cold tires and did anybody tell you to speed up? "I was opening the gap at 13 seconds, then 12 seconds and then dropped down to 9 seconds. I was just taking it easy."

Castroneves completes sweep for Penske Racing on Detroit's Belle Isle By Gloria Rzucidlo

Roger Penske is a very lucky guy. Will Power won on Saturday at Belle Isle Park in the first race of the Chevrolet Indy Dual while Helio Castroneves took the checkered flag in the second race on Sunday. The temperature was 84 degrees, sunny and clear skies. General Motors CEO Mary Barra gave the command "Drivers, start your engines." In lap one, Sato No. 14 led into turn one. Then, there was a multi-car accident in turn four with Newgarden No. 67, Rahal No. 15, Wilson No. 19. Power No. 12 made side-to-side contact with Newgarden No. 67, who in turn hit the tire barrier. Kimball No. 83 went into the runoff to avoid the accident. Verizon IndyCar Series officials gave Power No. 12 a drive-through penalty for contact with Newgarden No. 67.
