Busch goes racing with fans at Craig's Cruisers
in Wyoming, Mich.
Go-kart
racing that is. The NASCAR Sprint Cup series driver
came to Craig's Cruisers in Wyoming, Mich. on Tuesday
afternoon to go racing with fans, sponsors and members
of the media. He won five out of the six go-kart
races at the event. Busch was also in town to promote
the upcoming Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400 at
Michigan International Speedway on June 13. |

Busch
ran the first go-kart race with MIS President
Roger Curtis and other sponsors. His second race
was with members of the media. The other our go-kart
races were with racing fans. Fans were asked to
qualify on the track during the day. The top qualifiers
were given the opportunity to race with the NASCAR
Sprint Cup series driver.

suites
Michigan
International Speedway (MIS) officials showed off
their new 66,000-square-foot media center and pit
road suites on Tuesday in Brooklyn, Mich. The new
facility includes 11,783-square-feet of stone, 40.32
miles of copper and fiber cable, 30.3 miles of CAT
6 data cable and 3.78 miles of conduit. It features
136 flat-screen TVs, 179 speakers and 600 data outlets.
This June, MIS will host the Racing for Wildlife
200 ARCA race, VFW 200 NASCAR Truck Series race
and the Heluva Good 400 NASCAR Spring Cup Series
race. |

road suites on Tuesday in Brooklyn, Mich. The new
facility includes 11,783-square-feet of stone, 40.32
miles of copper and fiber cable, 30.3 miles of CAT
6 data cable and 3.78 miles of conduit. In addition,
ARCA drivers Patrick Sheltra, Chad Hackenbracht,
Steve Arpin, Nelson Piquet Jr., Ali Owens, Mikey
Kile, Justin Marks and Frank Kimmel addressed the
media regarding the upcoming Racing for Wildlife

square foot media center and pit road suites at
Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich.
The unveiling took place with just three weeks to
go before the green flag drops at the Heluva Good
Sour Cream Dips 400 race. The owner-driver meeting
room features 175 seats, the deadline press room
has 122 workstations, the team public relations
room has 85 workstations and the photographers room
features 75 workstations. There are 30 pit road
suites including 10 15-person suites, 15 30-person
suites and five 60-person suites. |

James reunite at MIS as grand marshals
Michigan
International Speedway is known as NASCAR’s
summer reunion for friends and family. And on
June 13, a pair of “Grown Ups” will
reunite at the racetrack to prove it. Adam Sandler
and Kevin James, stars of Columbia Pictures’
“Grown Ups,” in theaters June 25,
will serve as grand marshals for the Heluva Good!

concerts at MIS
Sick
Puppies and Saving Abel headline an amazing concert
lineup for Michigan International Speedway’s
Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400 weekend, June
12 and 13. Australian alternative rock trio Sick
Puppies will headline the Saturday night concert
in the New Holland Fan Plaza on June 12. The performance
on the LifeLock stage will begin shortly after
the VFW 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
race.

Good Sour Cream Dips 400
Sunday’s
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Heluva Good! Sour Cream
Dips 400 at Michigan International Speedway is
attracting some of Detroit’s biggest sports
stars. Detroit Red Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom
will serve as the honorary pace car driver for
the race. The longtime Red Wing defenseman will
pace the 43-car field in the official 2010 Ford
Mustang GT pace car for the Heluva Good! Sour
Cream Dips 400, a job usually held by NASCAR’s
Brett Bodine.

NEWS: New Holland Fan Plaza Schedule of Events
Check
the complete schedule of events for the New Holland
Fan Plaza at Michigan International Speedway.
Fans will be able to watch LIVE interviews on
the SPEED channel and much more. Boost Mobile
will be on hand and there will be a Chevy Ride
& Drive event as well. Kevin Harvick and Roger
Curtis will be appearing at the Sprint display.
Also, there will be two post-race concerts --
one on Saturday and one on Sunday.

Tire showcar rolled into the Discount Tire store
in Novi, Mich. The showcar is expected to be there
for a few more days. Brad Keselowski drives the
#22 car in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. The showcar
and the trailer were parked in front of the store.

Open House and Autograph Session in Livonia. RoushFenway
owner Jack Roush appeared along with drivers David
Ragan, Matt Kenseth and Elaine Larsen. Larsen
will race the JET Dragster this weekend at the
Milan Dragway. Fans waited in line for hours to
get autographs from their favorite drivers. Fans
were also able to tour the entire Roush collection
in Livonia.
