Open wheel racing
legend Al Unser Sr. will be the grand marshal for
the Firestone Indy 400 on Sunday, Aug. 5 at Michigan
International Speedway. Unser Sr., the two-time
open wheel champion and four-time Indianapolis 500
winner, will give the command to start engines for
the Firestone Indy 400. |

of Michigan Declares August "MIS Month"
Resolutions introduced
by Sen. Cameron S. Brown and Rep. Martin Griffin
declaring August as "Michigan International
Speedway Month" were unanimously approved by
the Michigan Senate and House of Representatives
this week. |
