Former Michigan State Spartan, Jason Richardson led the Golden State Warriors in a 111-93 victory over the Detroit Pistons Monday at the Palace.

Richardson scored a season-high 29 points to help the Warriors end a six-game losing streak. It was his first win as a professional in front of a Palace crowd.

The Pistons were up by seven with three minutes left in the first half, but the Warriors finished the second quarter on a 15-2 run grabbing a 61-55 lead.

Rasheed Wallace sat out his third straight game for Detroit, watching from the bench, as Warriors made seven of nine to start off the third quarter, never looking back.

Golden State guard Stephen Jackson contributed nine third quarter points to help the Warriors gain a 17 point lead going into the fourth. He finished with 14.

Forward Al Harrington added 16 points and ten rebounds for Golden State.

Lindsey Hunter came off the bench and scored 20 points for the Pistons. Tayshaun Prince added 18.

The Warriors finished the game shooting 54.5 percent from the field and grabbed their first win at the Palace since 1993.

Chauncey Billups and Richard Hamilton were held to a combined 4-9 from the field. Hamilton finished with six points making it his first single-digit game of the season.

Billups and Pistons coach Flip Saunders were assessed a pair of technical fouls late in the fourth after expressing their frustrations over a call. Jason Maxiell received his first career technical in the second quarter.

This was the first of six home games for the Pistons in a brutal March schedule. They will head to Cleveland to take on Lebron James and the Cavaliers Wednesday.

Rasheed Wallace is expected to play against the Cavs.
