that his government would no longer intervene in the internal
affairs of the Eastern European neighbors.

The city was named for its proximity to the river's rapids.

Secretary of the Navy Josephus "Joe" Daniels, who
banned "ardent spirits" from the officers' mess in
1914, making coffee the strongest drink offered aboard ship
and inspiring the slang reference to coffee as a cup of Joe.
5. A bat--one of
the world's largest, with a wingspan of more than six feet.
Its scientific name is Pterophus vampyrus.
