FONTANA, Calif. — Auto Club Speedway has announced its pre-race ceremony line-up for this year’s daytime MAVTV 500 Verizon IndyCar race on June 27, 2015.
National recording artist, Gavyn Rhone, will sing the National Anthem prior to the start of the MAVTV 500 Verizon IndyCar race on Saturday, June 27 at 1:30 p.m. at Auto Club Speedway.
Gavyn is a rising star in the music industry and his musical talents have led him to roles in both television and motion pictures. Gavyn has toured with Trey Songz, Marsha Ambrosius, Britney Spears, Usher, Faith Evans, Nas and Babyface. Gavyn’s credits include the Showtime series “Soul Food”, a major role on The Disney Channel cartoon “The Proud Family,” and box office hit “Honey” with Jessica Alba. Gavyn’s music videos soared to #1 and remained in the top ten countdown on B.E.T’s.106 & Park for seven consecutive weeks. He was also featured on seven-time Grammy nominated Keyshia Cole’s hit song, “Party Ain’t A Party.”
Dave Despain will serve as the Grand Marshal for the MAVTV 500, getting the day’s profile event started with the most exciting words in motorsports — “Drivers, Start Your Engines!”. Despain boasts an impressive career hosting shows including his popular weekly TV series on MAVTV network returning on July 12 at 5 p.m. PT. Despain interviews legends, stars and young guns of the motorsports industry and racers from all forms of disciplines.
Todd LeDuc, whose father is a legendary off-road racer, has racing in his blood and will be this year’s Honorary Starter, waving the green flag to get the MAVTV 500 underway. LeDuc is on his way to becoming a legend in his own right with his expansive career in racing including mountain bikes, trophy trucks, and most recently a two-time Monster Jam World Finals Champion.
