Costa Mesa, Calif.-based Fisker Automotive is now Karma Automotive. The luxury automaker has leased a 556,000-square-foot industrial building in the city of Moreno Valley for manufacturing purposes. AmericaJR.com’s Jason Rzucidlo reports from the Riverside County city where all of this exciting news is happening. Shiny, new electric vehicles will be rolling off the line starting in mid-2016. This will be the first automotive factory in Southern California since GM closed its Van Nuys facility in 1992. Karma Automotive is looking to fill 150 positions, that pay as much as $26 per hour. In addition, I’ve been told Karma has shown interest in having a booth at the upcoming 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
