The original Taco Bell restaurant nicknamed “Numero Uno” (No. 1 in English) was saved from the wrecking ball due to a successful social media campaign #SaveTacoBell. It was moved from it’s original location on Firestone Blvd. in Downey, CA to the company’s headquarters in Irvine on the night of Nov. 19. The building served its last meal in 2014. What’s next for Numero Uno? I’m told it will be moved to the backside of the Irvine offices facing the freeway and will be turned into a museum.
