Here’s a message from his contest entry page:
“Thank you for taking the time to consider my entry. Many years ago when I was a little kid, learning my fractions in the garage from handing my father wrenches, I had dreams to race, and be a Champion. Over the course of my life, I have always had a passion for automobiles, and always had a hot rod or two, but I had to focus on building my life and family so everything got sold or put on hold, the dream did not die there. I was determined to be successful and accomplish my dreams as a toddler to race cars. In 2014, on March 12th, my birthday, I was surprised to receive an email from Chevrolet Performance, offering the opportunity to purchase one of the iconic 69 COPO Camaro’s they were building that year. I had limited time to respond being there is an enormous waiting list, but I committed to the purchase. Knowing I could not do this on my own, with the support of my family, they made things possible. I work tremendously with manufactures, to ensure the car will be as competitive as possible. In 2014 to improve my ability and mindset to race I contacted the best in the business and attended Frank Hawley Drag Racing School. I am now ready to race competitively. For 2016, I will be racing NHRA Stock in the North Central Division, as well as national events as much as finances allow. Having Champion as a team sponsor will allow me to continue what I have started and let me expand my racing opportunities. I would not be where I am today without my confidence, determination, and support of my family and friends. I will always strive to be a Champion.”
