DETROIT — At 12:15 on Press Day One of the North American International Auto Show, Nissan President, Chairman, and CEO Carlos Ghosn presented three models of the 2017 Q60 series: two Q60 S 3.0t vehicles in a respective red and silver-white, and a red Q60 2.0 t.
“The message is… that Infiniti is competing to be a top-tier brand,” said Ghosn while listing the company’s achievements in recent years. “Instead of celebrating these records, we’re focused on shattering them.”
Although bullet-pointing a variety of special features in the new coupes, from Double Wave Design and a Signature Grille to direct adaptive steering and an all-around view monitor, Ghosn signified the marquee technology to be the a three-liter Twin Turbo V6 engine that offers varying 400 and 300 horsepower options.
“Interior artistry for Infiniti is about a fitted, personal approach,” said Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti Executive Design Director. “We modeled the Q60’s interior around the concept of a ‘driver’s glove’ – the driver is always comfortable and the cabin is tailored for them.”
Making its world debut in a production vehicle, the Q60 will be fitted with an all-new 13-speaker, Bose® Performance Series sound system, a class-leading audio set-up which has been tailored to the acoustics of the Q60’s cabin. Matched with Q60’s noise cancelling technology, the fully-immersive Bose® audio system transforms the cabin into the driver’s very own audio haven.
