New Fanfest and NASCAR Hauler Parade kickoff Auto Club 400 race weekend

FONTANA, Calif. – Considered to be the largest sporting event in Southern California, the NASCAR Auto Club 400 race weekend kicks-off with a new FanFest event and the signature NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Hauler Parade, both scheduled for Thursday, March 17, 2016.

Stretching nearly a mile from first hauler to last, Auto Club Speedway welcomes back NASCAR with its annual Hauler Parade which starts at 6 p.m. More than 40 NASCAR haulers will be staged throughout the day at the Quakes Stadium (LoanMart Field) located at 8408 Rochester Ave., Rancho Cucamonga.  Fans are encouraged to stop by, snap a “selfie” with their favorite drivers’ hauler, and watch the parade begin.

NEW this year – at the parade’s finish line, a St. Paddy’s Day FanFest presented by Bubba Burger will feature NASCAR driver appearances, live music, vendors and family-friendly entertainment in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Fan Zone at Auto Club Speedway. The St. Paddy’s Day FanFest presented by Bubba Burger is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The public can pick up free tickets to attend FanFest at participating businesses, which will be announced soon.

The convoy of NASCAR haulers will travel along a six-mile route from Quakes Baseball Stadium to Auto Club Speedway:

  • North on Rochester
  • East on Church St. to Day Creek Blvd.
  • South on Day Creek Blvd. to Victoria Gardens Ln.
  • East on Victoria Gardens Ln. to Baseline Rd.
  • East on Baseline Rd. to Cherry Ave.
  • South on Cherry Ave. to Auto Club Speedway

There are three prime viewing areas for fans to enjoy the annual parade.

  • Quakes Baseball Stadium (LoanMart Field), 8408 Rochester Ave., Rancho Cucamonga
  • Bass Pro Shops, 7777 Victoria Gardens Ln., Rancho Cucamonga
  • Auto Club Speedway, along Cherry Ave, Fontana as well as in the St. Paddy’s Day FanFest in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Fan Zone at Auto Club Speedway.
