On Sunday, Gal Gadot has tweeted wonderful news – via Instagram – that she and husband Yaron Versano are expecting their second child. The couple, who married in 2008, have a four-year daughter, Alma.
“So excited to share this wonder with you,” said the 31-year-old actress, who added the hashtag #mommyforthesecondtime.
Gal, whose film credits included “Fast & Furious 6” and “Criminal”, became the world’s finest – and the first – of female superheroes in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” as Wonder Woman opposite Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel/Son of Krypton and Ben Affleck’s Son of Gotham/Bat of Gotham. Not only is the fictional Wonder Woman the ambassador of Paradise Island, but the United Nations has named the Amazonian warrior princess as their real-life Honorary Ambassador for the Empowerment of Women and Girls. The ceremony took place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, where Gal was among one of the wonderful attendants that also included television icon Lynda Carter, who brought Wonder Woman to life on November 7, 1975.
Since 1941, Wonder Woman has been putting all her might on the side of right for the old red-white-blue known as the United States of America. Embodying the qualities of beauty, grace, wisdom, goodness and strength, she stands for truth, equality, freedom, peace, compassion, justice, sisterhood, and love in the world of man against the forces of tyranny, cruelty, oppression, terrorism, greed, and corruption.
Gal Gadot returns to the big screen as “Wonder Woman” next summer.
