AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo was LIVE at the Detroit Athletic Club on Tuesday afternoon for the Automotive Press Association’s December meeting. Former GM Design Chief Ed Welburn unveiled a new trophy that he designed for the North American Car of the Year award. The APA made a $50,000 donationto Wayne State University to create the continuing automobile journalism scholarship. It was in memory of longtime auto journalist and APA member Al Vinikour who passed away in 2016. In addition, longtime APA members Ken Zino and Mona Richard were honored for their service to the organization.
