AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo walked around the lobby of Cobo Center to check on the progress of the construction for the 2017 North American International Auto Show. Union laborers are working around the clock to get the automaker and supplier displays ready. They are about 80 percent complete as of Thursday afternoon. Most of the exhibit stands will be in their normal spots. However, a few have been redesigned for 2017. The NAIAS opens to the media with Automobili-D on Jan. 8 and continues all week long with the charity preview on Jan. 13 before the show opens to the public on Saturday, Jan. 14.
