Movie Review: “Logan” is Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine film

Marvel Comics and 20th Century Fox presents “Logan” starring Hugh Jackman as Logan, Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier and Dafne Keen as Laura.

Crossing into the Mexican border from El Paso, TX, Logan, a mutant with super healing powers, cares for Charles Xavier who is hidden in an old warehouse  in the middle of nowhere.  Charles is unstable and sometimes doesn’t know who he is.  He is also in constant need of medication.

Gabriella Lopez (Elizabeth Rodriguez) is a nurse that cares for mutant children.  She pays Logan $20,000 to take her and daughter Laura up to North Dakota and the Canadian border.  At first she says Laura is her daughter, but mutant Laura has powers similar to Logans.   Come to find out, Laura is really Logan’s daughter.  At first a reluctant Logan declines, but when he sees the money, he changes his mind.  When he returns to pick them up, Gabriella is dead.

Realizing the bad hombres have come to take Laura back, Logan goes on the run trying to keep her safe. The bad guys are on their trail.  There is a lot of blood, violence and action in this movie.  Sometimes I had to cover my eyes.  This movie was a little too violent for me.

Logan” opens nationwide on March 3, 2017.
