AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo recently visited The Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Mich. It is a FREE and open to the public museum which features a unique collection of more than two thousand objects that span the 70-year career of Detroit-based public sculptor Marshall M. Fredericks (1908-1998). He is known nationally and internationally for his impressive monumental figurative sculpture, public memorials, fountains, portraits, and medals. The centerpiece is a 28-foot tall Christ statue on the south wall of the museum. It also features popular sculptures like the Spirit of Detroit and Boy and Bear.

The Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum is located at Saginaw Valley State University, 7400 Bay Road, Saginaw, MI 48710. Hours: M-F 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Saturday 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. Free Admission. For more information, visit http://marshallfredericks.org/
