DETROIT — DTE Energy is working to restore power to their 165,000 remaining customers across metro Detroit following a large ice storm over the weekend. Most of the consumers still without power are located in Wayne and Oakland counties. At its peak, over 390,000 customers were without power. DTE has making some progress on Monday. They have requested extra assistance from crews in Ohio and Indiana to help with the power restoration. DTE says that most customers should expect to have their power restored by Thursday. For an update, customers are encouraged to call 800-477-4747.
