AmericaJR’s Gloria Rzucidlo reports from Detroit’s Corktown district for a special community celebration with Ford Motor Co. The Dearborn-based automaker has purchased the former Michigan Central Train Depot. Ford will renovate the building within the next three or four years and relocate 2,500 of its workers to the site. Ford will use the building to develop autonomous (self-driving) vehicles. The automaker plans to keep the first floor open to the public year round. It will feature a coffee shop, gift shops and other restaurants. Attendees were able to tour the building over the weekend.
