In this gallery, you’ll see photos from the Friday morning beach volleyball match between the United States and Canada. You’ll see USA Olympic Hopefuls Kerri Walsh Jennings and Brooke Sweat face off against Canada’s Kristina May and Taylor Pischke. The match was also the first one played the 32-year-old Sweat since May. The veteran underwent right shoulder surgery and has just returned to competition. When all was said and done, Sweat and Walsh Jennings won in two sets, 21-15 and 21-13. These duos will move directly to the Round of 16. Tandems which lost their opening games will need to win their second matches to advance to the elimination round.
