Ann Arbor Summer Festival Announces the 2019 Artists Performing at Top of the Park

ANN ARBOR, MI – The Ann Arbor Summer Festival’s 36th Season runs from June 14 through July 7 at Top of the Park, six nights each week starting at 5 pm. The entire festival features an eclectic mix of events showcasing the best in music, comedy, film, spoken word, contemporary circus, street arts, and family entertainment.

Music Highlights Include:

Detroit Party Marching Band, The Outer Vibe, The Ragbirds, May Erlewine & The Motivations, Sona Jobarteh, Planet D Nonet, Heavy Color, Orquesta Tradición, Cold Tone Harvest, Liquid Monk, Shake Steady, Paddlebots, Falu’s Bazaar, 47Soul, Diane Coffee, Laith Al-Saadi, George Bedard & The Kingpins

Ninety-two (92) musical performances will take place on two stages at Top of the Park on the campus of the University of Michigan and in the City of Ann Arbor:

  • Rackham Stage (915 E. Washington Street)
  • O&W Acoustic Stage in the Grove (under the Bell Tower on North Ingalls Mall)

The Movies by Moonlight, Retreat, KidZone, and Mainstage series were announced earlier in March and April. The festival series sponsors are O&W, Toyota, and T.D. Ameritrade. A detailed schedule of Top of the Park series musical performances follows.

The Ann Arbor Summer Festival is an exhilarating celebration of performing arts, outdoor entertainment, and community spirit. An annual arts gathering in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the threeweek festival offers two parallel programs—one indoor and one outdoor—at various venues and spaces across the University of Michigan campus and in downtown Ann Arbor.

Each season features a progressive mix of over 175 events showcasing local, national, and international artists and a diverse audience of more than 80,000 people. The indoor Mainstage series includes ticketed performances of world-class music, contemporary circus, family entertainment, public radio shows, and comedy.

The outdoor program, Top of the Park, is held along a beautiful campus green and offers admission-free concerts, Movies by Moonlight, open-air street spectacle, culinary treats, and unique family attractions. The Ann Arbor Summer Festival’s admission free series located at Top of the Park runs nightly from June 14 – July 7, 2019 (dark on Mondays).
