PHOTOS: Detroit Youth Choir accepts $1 million endowment at homecoming celebration

AmericaJR’s Gloria and Jerome Rzucidlo were LIVE at Campus Martius Park in downtown Detroit for the Detroit Youth Choir‘s homecoming celebration. The group finished in second place on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” However, local organizations and business leaders stepped up to give the DYC a $1 million endowment anyways. It was a big surprise for all of the kids. Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan also presented the Detroit Youth Choir with a giant keys to the city. Each member of the group will receive their own key at a later date. Hundreds of people cheered them on during the celebration on Friday afternoon.
