However, it is temporary shut down due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic. Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak ordered the casinos and non-essential businesses to cease operation for 30 days. The decision was made to keep Nevadans safe and healthy during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The closure is expected to cost the hospitality industry an estimated $38.9 billion, according to the Nevada Resort Association.
