Construction continues on the all-new Lifeguard Arena team headquarters and practice facility for the Henderson Silver Knights minor league hockey team. The arena will also be used for recreational hockey tournaments, collegiate-level hockey tournaments and club play. A plaza outside the arena will have a large screen to allow games or practices to be viewed in a courtyard area. The total cost for the project is $3.2 million. We’re told the building is about 80 percent complete. It is scheduled to open on October 1, 2020.
