The AmericaJR Web Team visited some of the sights where movies and television shows were filmed in the San Francisco, California area. You’ll see filming locations for movies such as “Basic Instinct”, “Dirty Harry”, “Pursuit of Happyness”, “The Wedding Planner”, “Vertigo”, “Tucker”, “The Rock”, “Mrs. Doubtfire” , and “What’s Up, Doc”, among many others. In addition, we’ll show you the Painted Ladies homes featured in the title credits for “Full House” and “Fuller House.”
Some of the movies filmed on Lombard Street (the Crookedest Street in the World) include “Vertigo”, “George of the Jungle”, “Bullitt”, “Playing It Cool” and “The Love Bug” among many others. Jimmy Stewart’s apartment from the movie “Vertigo” Church where Hugh Grant and Julianne Moore got married in “Nine Months” Sts. It is the final resting place for our nation’s military. The original “Full House” House It is now owned by the show’s creator and executive producer Jeff Franklin. The cars came down these steps in the movie “What’s Up, Doc?” in 1972. This house was featured in the movie “Mrs. Doubtfire” starring Robin Williams and Sally Field.
