The AmericaJR Web Team visited the iconic Ferry Building during their recent trip to San Francisco, California. It is a terminal for ferries that travel across the San Francisco Bay, a food hall and an office building. On top of the building is a 245-foot-tall clock tower with four clock dials, each 22 feet in diameter, which can be seen from Market Street, a main thoroughfare of the city. The ground floor of the building is occupied by a marketplace featuring about 50 restaurants, retail shops and food purveyors, most of which are open seven days a week. The outdoor Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, which is run by CUESA, operates on the surrounding plaza on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
