Pontiac, Mich. — The 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline was introduced at Motor Bella which was held at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Mich. I interviewed Sam Locricchio, Ford Public Affairs, about this new large SUV.
“I love the Timberline. More folks are going on road trips and what impresses me most is the off-road element. The ability of this vehicle is the capability of staying stable on uneven and uncharted pavement,” says Locricchio.
The Timberline has room and flexibility of three rows of seats, which allows families to share adventures comfortably. This Timberline model shown here features a freshened exterior and includes bolder styling. The exterior color is forged green metallic with orange accents. The interior has orange accents also which blends easily with the exterior.
The large SUV is powered by Ford’s 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 engine which produces 440 horsepower and 510 foot-pounds of torque. This rugged SUV has higher ground clearance for greater off-road capability to take you off the beaten path in comfort and style.
The 2022 Expedition Timberline is assembled at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville. It goes on sale the first quarter of 2022. Locricchio says no pricing is available yet, but it won’t be expensive.
Look for the new Expedition Timberline when you visit the Motor Bella outdoor auto show, which opens to the public on Thursday, Sept. 23 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 26.
