Arlington, VA — The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® today announced Nasdaq’s Adena Friedman will be the CES 2023® Leaders in Technology (LIT) dinner headline speaker. This invitation-only event brings together policymakers, technologists, media and entrepreneurs.
Emmy Award-winning FOX Business Network (FBN) anchor Liz Claman will host an exclusive discussion with Friedman on the critical role that industry, technology, and policy play in protecting and maximizing the integrity of the world’s financial markets. The conversation will unpack the role that Nasdaq plays in the fight against financial crime as well as the evolving role of digital assets in the marketplace of the future.
Friedman has been President and CEO of Nasdaq and a member of the Nasdaq Board of Directors since January 2017. She brings more than 20 years of industry leadership and expertise and is credited with significantly shaping Nasdaq’s transformation beyond its foundation as a leading global exchange into a technology company serving the global financial ecosystem.
Claman is the Emmy-Award winning anchor of The Claman Countdown. She joined FBN as an anchor in October 2007. At prior LIT dinners she has interviewed leaders from Impossible Foods and Waymo.
“As the first woman to head a global exchange, Adena shines as she leads Nasdaq’s transformation while promoting a more inclusive economy,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA. “As one of the most respected business journalists in America, we’re honored to have Liz join us again on the stage at CES to lead this thought-provoking conversation.”
The LIT dinner is part of the Leaders in Technology program at CES 2023, a series of discussions designed to give high-level government officials insight into how technology impacts our lives. The LIT program fuels discussion between government and industry around the innovation policy landscape and will include conference programming around topics like self-driving vehicles, cryptocurrency, trade and cybersecurity.
Friedman joins already announced keynoters including AMD’s Dr. Lisa Su, BMW AG’s Oliver Zipse, Delta Air Lines’ Ed Bastian and Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares. The CES featured speakers page will be updated as additional speakers are announced.
Owned and produced by CTA, CES 2023 will take place in Las Vegas on Jan. 5-8, 2023, with Media Days taking place Jan. 3-4, 2023.
