AmericaJR’s Jason Rzucidlo recently visited the new Sphere entertainment venue and attraction near the Las Vegas Strip. The Sphere is the largest and highest-resolution LED screen in the world. The Exosphere consists of approximately 1.2 million LED pucks, spaced eight inches apart. On July 4, 2023, the Sphere’s LED exterior was illuminated during Independence Day celebrations in Las Vegas. It is located directly behind The Venetian and Palazzo casinos along Sands Ave. In this video, the Sphere is displaying orange basketballs for the NBA Summer League tournament, which is happening in Las Vegas. The Sphere is set to open on September 29, 2023, with U2 using the venue to launch their “U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere” residency.
